Dr. C.S.C. Murthy is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at R.V.College of Engineering Bangalore. He obtained his B.E. and M.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mysore, and his M.S. from California State University, Long Beach, Calif. U.S.A. and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

His Teaching and research experience spans over 30 years spread over Regional College of Education, Mysore, University Vishvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore, California State University U.S.A, Indian Institute of Technology Madras and R.V.College of Engineering, Bangalore.

He is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers (INDIA). He has participated in several conferences and workshops internationally and published more than twenty research papers. His areas of interest include Machine Design, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines and Mechanical Behaviour of Materials.
